Bio Claudine is director/choreographer of Mambo2ChaCha Dance Co. and has been teaching mambo/salsa on 2 and chachacha in New York City since 1999. In addition to teaching group and private lessons, she has given lessons at SOB's and Alegrias, and her Mambo2ChaCha Dance Studio classes on Fridays were featured on an episode of TLC's "Date Patrol." Claudine's Mambo2ChaCha Dance Co. has performed at the New York Salsa Congress, Boston Salsa Congress, Connecticut SalsaFest, and Club Cache, among other dance venues. In addition, Claudine has performed and co-taught workshops with Jimmy Anton in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Baltimore, MD; and at Midsummer Night's Swing at Lincoln Center. She has also performed with Carlos Konig Dancers and Dulce Bembe. In addition to mambo/salsa and chachacha, Claudine also enjoys dancing/performing Argentine tango, hustle and West Coast swing. She has training in smooth and latin ballroom dance, as well as flamenco, ballet and jazz. Claudine is a graduate of Princeton University, and holds a Master's degree in Spanish and Portuguese from Columbia University. She currently teaches Spanish, and remains an advocate of dance.
